Referring a patient to a specialist is a common practice in healthcare where a primary care physician (PCP) or another healthcare provider believes that a patient's condition requires the expertise of a doctor who specializes in a particular area of medicine.
First an evaluation of the patient’s symptoms or health condition is performed, and we will conduct a physical examination and order necessary tests to understand the condition. If we determine that the patient's condition requires specialized care, a referral to the appropriate specialist is made without delay.
